  • Payments can be made through UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, wallets, or cash on delivery (COD), depending on availability.
  • Payment processing is handled by secure, third-party gateways; Maa Mart does not store payment details.

6. Order Acceptance and Cancellation

  • Your order constitutes an offer to purchase a product.
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for reasons including stock unavailability, pricing errors, or payment issues.
  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch only. Once shipped, the order cannot be cancelled but may be eligible for return (see our Return Policy).

  • Orders are usually processed within 1–3 business days and delivered within 3–10 business days depending on your location.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to logistics or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Returns are accepted for damaged, defective, or incorrect items within the specified return period.

Return policy

At Maa Mart, we value your satisfaction and want to make your shopping experience smooth and reliable.

ou can place a return request if:

2. Non-Returnable Items

3. Return Process

  • Share your order ID, reason for return, and clear photos/videos of the product (if applicable).

  • Once approved, our courier partner will pick up the item from your address within 2–4 business days.

  • Pack the item securely in its original packaging before handing it to the pickup agent.

  • Once we receive the product at our warehouse, it undergoes a quality check.

  • If approved, a refund or replacement (as per your request) will be processed within 5–10 business days.

  • If the returned item fails inspection (used, damaged, missing parts, etc.), the return may be rejected and the item sent back to you.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to our fault (damaged, defective, or wrong product), Maa Mart will bear the shipping cost.

  • If the return is due to customer reasons (e.g., changed mind, wrong size), return shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.

6. Refund or Replacement Options

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method (UPI, card, net banking, wallet, etc.).

  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds will be made through bank transfer or store credit.

Shipping & Delivery Policy

Packaging Guidelines

1. Introduction

At Maa Mart, we strive to ensure that all orders reach our customers in perfect condition. Proper packaging is a critical step in minimizing damage, leakage, or returns. This guidelines document describes best practices that all packing staff, vendors, and partners should follow when preparing consignments for shipment.

Expected outcomes:

  • Reduced damage claims and returns

  • Consistent packaging quality

  • Efficient handling and logistics process

2. Purpose & Scope

These guidelines apply to all items sold via Maa Mart and are mandatory for:

  • In-house packing teams

  • External packers or 3PL partners

  • Vendors who pack items for us

The guidelines cover box selection, cushioning, sealing, labeling, and special handling instructions.

3. Understanding the Item — Choosing Proper Packaging

Before packing, assess:

  • Dimensions & shape

  • Weight

  • Fragility / sensitivity (electronic, glass, ceramic, etc.)

  • Physical state (liquid, powder, solid)

  • Value / cost — items above a certain value may require tamper-evident packaging

Based on these, choose a packaging strategy (rigid box, flexible mailer, etc.)

4. Box / Outer Packaging Selection

  • Use corrugated cardboard boxes. For light, non-fragile items (< 2 kg), 3-ply corrugated is acceptable.

  • For heavier or fragile items, use 5-ply corrugated or stronger.

  • Use tamper-evident boxes for high value goods (above a predetermined threshold).

  • Boxes should be sturdy, without tears, dents or crushing.

  • Choose boxes that closely approximate the product dimensions (with allowance for cushioning), to reduce empty space.

5. Flyers / Poly Bags / Flexible Packaging

  • Flexible items (apparel, soft goods) may be packed in polybags / LDPE bags prior to boxing.

  • Use 60–80 micron (or as per regional standard) material for polybags.

  • For high value soft goods, use tamper-evident polybags.

  • Inspect bags for tears or defects before packing.

6. Internal Packaging (Cushioning & Void Fill)

  • Use bubble wrap, foam sheets, air cushions, shredded paper, corrugated inserts, etc.

  • The goal is to prevent relative motion of the item within the box.

  • For delicate items, wrap in multiple layers of protection.

  • Fill all voids to avoid shifting during transit.

7. Special Handling — Liquids, Fragile, Perishables

  • Liquids / Bottles: Seal caps, use shrink film, place in leak-proof pouches.

  • Fragile / Glassware: Wrap in bubble wrap / foam, use double boxing if needed.

  • Perishables / Temperature sensitive items: Use insulated liners, gel packs, or cold chain packaging.

  • Electronics: Use anti-static wrapping, padding, corner protectors.

8. Sealing & Closure Methods

  • Use high quality BOPP tape or pressure sensitive tape.

  • For lightweight items, a single seam tape is acceptable.

  • For heavy, fragile, or liquid items, use H-taping (along center seam and both edges).

  • Make sure the tape overlaps seams and is firmly adhered.

9. Labelling & Marking

  • Labels should be placed on a flat, seam-free surface.

  • Avoid placing labels across box edges or seams (as it may damage barcode).

  • Essential information to include:
     • Order ID / Tracking number / Barcode
     • Consignee name & full shipping address
     • Return address
     • Product details (if needed)
     • Handling instructions (e.g. “Fragile”, “This Side Up”)

  • Use thermal printed labels when possible for clarity and durability.

10. Special Handling Labels & Orientation

Include standard symbols / labels for:

  • Fragile

  • Keep Dry

  • Do Not Stack

  • This Side Up (orientation arrows)

  • Perishable

  • Hazardous (if applicable, per regulation)

11. Category-wise Packaging Processes

Electronics

  • Inspect the product and its original packaging

  • Wrap with anti-static bags / bubble wrap

  • Use corner protectors

  • Place in suitable box, fill voids, seal

Fragile / Glassware

  • Wrap in multiple cushioning layers

  • Use separators if multiple items

  • Possibly double box

Apparel & Textiles

  • Fold neatly, use polybag

  • Remove wrinkles, include silica gel for moisture control

  • Use brand / logo inserts (if any)

Liquid / Bottled Products

  • Seal caps, use shrink film or tamper band

  • Use leak-proof bag

  • Cushion around bottle

Books & Stationeries

  • Wrap in bubble wrap

  • Use rigid boards if needed

  • Box selection: slim box or flat box

12. Final Checklist (Pre-Shipment)

Before shipping, verify:

  • Box is intact, no damage

  • All voids filled, no rattling

  • Tape seams properly (H-tape if needed)

  • Label is placed properly (flat, readable)

  • Handling / orientation labels visible

  • Barcodes and tracking labels scannable

  • For liquids: no leakage when tilted
